4 Ways to Wear an African Scarf!
I USE AFRICAN SCARFS FOR SO MANY DIFFERENT REASONS: FOR STYLE, TO CELEBRATE MY ANCESTRY, AND FOR WHEN I HAVE A BAD HAIR DAY! :) IT HAS NOW BECOME ONE OF MY FAVORITE ACCESSORIES! HERE ARE 4 WAYS THAT I WEAR MY AFRICAN SCARFS!
1.Halter top/tube top
I love the art of designing so the halter top choice is my favorite of course! I’m a designer at heart so wrapping this fabric in different designs gets my creativity flowing. Having a long scarf that you can make into any halter top is so neat. I like switching it up every now and then by wearing a tube top one day, and then another day a sassy slash around one arm, or even a skirt. The options are endless! This can be a stylist playground because there are so many options to choose from.
2. Tie it in a bow!
The cutest little details come in a bow! Just a simple twist and tie does the trick. Rather your fabric is long or short, fold it in half either once or twice so partial of your hair can be tossed in a ponytail. To see a video of how this is done scroll below!
3. traditional Dhuku (head-wrap)
traditional is always classic and simply beautiful. I love how my ancestors wore their head wraps as crowns like the queens they were!
4. FAce mask
Last but not least is the face masks. Turning a face mask into a stylish trend is not only unique but also helpful.
